Paris Diaries

These photos were taken early this September when I went to Paris for two days and ended up staying for way more than that; a month. They feature my little apartment in Anvers and the first walks around the neighbourhood and the city. For the most part, this visual diary is about change(s), leaps of faith and it’s about me making it up as I go. It’s also about serendipity, the joy of discovery and how desolate and overwhelming that can be sometimes.
Miranda July has this quote that I love where she asks:
Have you ever wanted something very badly and then gotten it? Then you know that winning is many things, but it’s never the thing you thought it would be.
I think she’s right.
For me, Paris was many things, but not quite the thing I thought it would be — and that’s the beauty of it.
