Earlier this year, I went looking for my first manual-focus film camera. A confusing experience at first — never have I used a full-frame SLR, nor have I known what to look for. Still, I took my time and learned about exposing film properly and estimating light without a light meter to take better shots.

This short series of photographs is a selection from my first heap of monochrome exposures on Rollei RPX 400 with Practica MTL5. A camera I found fitting nicely within my budget, costing 300K IDR, or approximately, 20USD. Smooth in operation, with only a slight defect in its mirror.
